I'm getting a little tired of restarting Win98 when it locks and more interested in win2000 but don't know a basic fact....will my Win98 programs run with Win2000, or would I have to replace them?

Dave

A common mistake in making a crossover cable is making it too short. 10baseT segments may be up to 100 meters (328 feet) long, with a minimum cable length of 2.5 meters (about 8 feet) to stay in spec.

Crossover Cable Pin out:

RJ-45 RJ-45
Connector Connector
----------------------
pin 1 -> pin 3
pin 2 -> pin 6
pin 3 -> pin 1
pin 4 -> pin 4
pin 5 -> pin 5
pin 6 -> pin 2
pin 7 -> pin 7
pin 8 -> pin 8
