Tim, 3Com said that the wait for the Palm share distribution after the IPO is so that the distribution is tax free -- they need a ruling from the IRS and it takes time. I wouldn't want to pay 30% tax on the Palm shares. Don't you believe this? Why do you think the plan is flawed?

I have to admit that the huge volume does seem to imply that there is news that hasn't quite percolated to the public yet.

As far as the Palm IPO is concerned, I'm not that upset that the distribution takes place 6 months after the IPO.
