what has changed is the perception of COMS. for quite some time now, the name
3com has conjured up largely negative images and feelings.

suddenly, COMS has a quality to it. a perceived goodness.

and imo, people buy stock based on emotion, just as much as buyers of real estate
income and commercial properties do. they'll tell you otherwise, they'll crunch numbers
all day and night to support their decisions, but it usually comes down to plain old
emotion.

the 'out of favor' phase has rapidly disintegrated.

:)

I took a look at a five-year chart of coms. Surprisingly I discovered that it has - within the last few days - broken out from the long term down trend set when it dropped from $80 to $20. This breakout is so important that I think it will retrace it path back to at least $60 - with ease.
