SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated semiconductor and
software supplier Virata(R) (Nasdaq: VRTA) today announced that Netopia, Inc.
(Nasdaq: NTPA), a market leader in providing DSL Internet equipment to small
and medium-size businesses, has selected the Virata Helium(TM) chip and is
deploying it in its ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode)-based SDSL (Symmetrical
Digital Subscriber Line) router, the Netopia R7200.
