Wasn't Lotus and WordPerfect committed to IBM's version of windows called "Topview"? Seems like OS2 came later? I don't think Topview lasted long enough for anyone except IBM to actually develop an application for it but others were working on them. That is until it became obvious to the developers that the buying public liked Microsoft's Windows best but by then they were very far behind. Microsoft stood alone with Windows against the big players of the day and won. Lets hope they can do it again.
