Earlie, that was the same attitude that made me popular with the fund managers at Waddell & Reed when I was an analyst. <g> Of course, it wasn't enough for me to say that I told you so. I also had to do that "told ya so" song with the little dance thrown in.

Lou's stories remind me of the wife whose husband caught her in bed with another man.

"He is the mattress warranty checker," she said. "I think we have some money coming back on this mattress."

"I bought that mattress on sale 'as is'," the husband said. "There was no warranty."

"Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it."

So, the husband believes her, leaving her and the warranty checker alone while he goes to buy her flowers to apologize for doubting her. <g>

Suckers who buy IBM are very much like that husband, though probably a bit more gullible.
