Z, this is not a real answer to Joan's central point, which is that one has reason to question the ability of certain authors and reviewers to look at a piece of work without bias. One of the first things I learned as an historian was to go to the original source material and to subject all commentary--including my own--with a view toward whose ox is being gored.

To be honest, Zoltan, I didn't even read that "crazy page." The search turned up so many pages on the subject (Crozier's intelligence activities), that I just picked one at random. And citing it wasn't meant to "diminish" Crozier's other activities; but rather to respond to E's question.
