Herm: Not sure what "organic growth" is either. As respects , the use of organic matter . . . i.e. : growin' stuff (like veggies or stock prices) I , like you, am more familiar with the "smellier" variety of the "organic" material.
Yes, it IS free in this neck of the woods too. And, fortunately for me, so is your generous "sowing" of information/help to help make our gardens grow. Thanks as always.
Any prospects (of the non-reptile species) you can list for us snake-charmed types to safely look at?

Herm: One quick question. I have been looking for some time now (back over 4 months worth of posts) for a comment you made that is of great interest to me, and perhaps others. You talked about capital gains, etc. . . . but you alluded to your use of CC's in your IRA ACCT.? Specifically, and in lieu of a regular brokerage account. So that you were able to defer taxes, if I recall correctly. And SAVE "X" percent in taxation (legally, of course)all the while KEEPING a larger share of your profits. And making that additional "kept" profit working for you. And you said that there was a way to BORROW against that account . . . in effect pay your self an interest rate of , let's say 8% on the amount for a term that you laid out of "X" years. THIS IS THE PART (THE BORROWING/OR LOANING PART) that I would be very appreciative to hear again. COULD YOU PLEASE REPLY/ outlining (better than I have here) what is possible for us less informed ones to consider as a better mousetrap to catch more profits. . . increase my KEOUGH or IRA potential . . . and to enable me to put down my hammer some day and actually retire. Hope to here from you soon. TIA jaytee

Hi Herm! I have what is most likely an easy question. If a stock goes up and you sell the call and it continues to go up, what do you recommend doing. I just got called ( for a nice profit at least) on my brkt. I bought for 11 7/8 and sold the nov 12.5 calls for 1 5/8. I really didn't watch closely at the option prices, but my thinking is that I could have bought the calls back and paid very little premium since they became deep in the money as the stock ran to 17. In which case, I could have rolled up or sold the stock, pocketed the profits and moved into another profitable position. Since the stock was at 17ish for the past two weeks, my position was "dead money" since my equity was tied up and my money was not making me more money.
Thank you for your input. Anyone else is also welcome to answer.
Now that my cash is freed up again, I am looking for some more picks and have found a couple> I will post more infor tomorrow since it is late and my wife wants to go to bed. I have some long sideshow calls in hdc, since the premiums are not high and the fundamentals look good.
good luck.
