Jessie,

Some additional input on ALAN...I saw it posted on the Point and Figure thread, took a positon about a week ago, so I have been actively following it. It looks good from the P & F perspective --came out of a bullish triangle formation, and has been making higher lows, trading above the bullish support line --and has a price objective of between $13 and $14. Of course, there's no guarantee of the price objective, and there's no indication in what time frame it will be achieved.

FWIW..I'm going to hold it for the next several weeks and watch it. I think right now its a low expectation stock (because of its strange cross-industry thing), but if there is some real news on the acquired company, it could move quickly.

Jessie,
I know your post was directed at Steve but I thought you might like some additional feed back on ALAN. I have been in ALAN since 11/4. Volume has been minimal but the lot size sold at one time is substantial. Somebody is grabbing shares at this 2+ level.

Arriad acquisition is a big deal for ALAN and full implementation started Nov 1.

Arriad has a long list of customers in many areas of commerce which include CBS, NBC, PBS, Comcast Cablevision, Federal Aviation Commission, US Air, US Navy, US Army, UPS, Lockheed Martin, NATO, Boeing, NASA, and the list goes on and on. It is very impressive.
Here is the link to their clients:

I plan to hold ALAN and my thought is that it will go to 15 easy by the first of the year if not sooner. It is a keeper in my book. I don't plan to sell until it hits 25, then I will make a decision. At the levels its selling at right now its so cheap it would be foolish not to buy it and tuck it away. Its just a matter of time before it goes up. ;)
