Those were the "good ol' days" of the drive sector, when the Big Three ruled, when IBM was a sleepy giant who barely kept Seagate on its toes in the enterprise sector and there was no one else is sight. Seagate is probably a better company today than it was then, but so is the competition, so it has to get better still is it wants to get some its past glory.
