Actually, it was n't not so amazing back then. Those were the "good ol' days" of the drive sector, when the Big Three ruled, when IBM was a sleepy giant who barely kept Seagate on its toes in the enterprise sector and there was no one else is sight. Seagate is probably a better company today than it was then, but so is the competition, so it has to get better still is it wants to get some its past glory.

Mark has apparently taken his "Weekend Disk Drive Pricing Report" to the Yahoo Seagate thread. Well, at least he is still posting it. For those who don't read Yahoo, here is the link: messages.yahoo.com.
