Mildly kickin myself for not buying Softbank at $55 earlier this year. Bought and alerted thread to SIFY back in mid October, sold most of my position recently.

Happy digging over at multex.com TIA

Thanks for your help and kind words. . .FATB has earnings and board meeting this week. . .so you may have instinctively bought on that. . . it has been a rocket of late . . started week at 22, now at 36. . . you were wise to grab at 26. . . but you know how I hate arriving late to any parties. . . so best wishes on that play. . .I really don't have a feel for what they do and whether it will change much.

I love interactive books. . .but then I started using them in 1983. . . as for a place to go for definitive info on a subject, that is way cool. . .but as for changing an industry. . .I don't see that happening in the near future. . .it takes a lot to change people.

In 1981, scientists predicted that newspapers would be obsolete by 1990 and that everyone would be receiving their news via online services. Now, with the internet in 30 some percent of homes in the U.S., newspapers still are not really threatened. . .due to the longstanding habit of liking our news in our hands when we read it.

Perhaps when custom made newspapers are printed out for us in synch with our coffee being ready. . .we will better take to such a substitution.

A while back, Knight-Ridder was developing a thin light-weight electronic newspaper . .where you can hold it while you drink your coffee, shave, sit-on train or cab if you work in N.Y., while you drive, if you work in L.A. . .Now I don't know the specifics, but it stands to reason that it would search out the news you wish and display it in a similar manner as newspaper print, yet be totally interactive, no doubt consisting of a download from the internet which would occur in the morning. . .probably from your PC or set-top box. . .so you would not need to be connected to the internet as you read. . .much as AOL does flash sessions. So change does come, but it is like teaching a siciety full of old dogs a new trick.
