Dan,

<Ad counts from the Sunday paper >

Nice DD!

I have been doing some DD myself and based on different pieces of data I have seen so far, looks like the speed-grades are significantly more favorable to AMD than last quarter and I am also a little bit more upbeat on the Athlon speed-mix (i.e., I no longer think that there is much risk of AMD downbinning too many Athlons to 500/550 speed grades.

I think the ASPs for AMD quarter to date are stronger than expected (i.e., the profit picture should be rosier). Barring a nasty price cut during December 2nd week, the picture could get significantly sweeter for AMD longs.

I may be raising the expectations and setting myself up the scene for a disappointment but right now this is how I see it. Need to wait till the next round of price cuts to be sure though.

Good luck to all,
Chuck

Dan,
RE:"AMD needs to have the 750 out there by next week."

That would be nice but by the looks of things the higher MHZ Floppermines are still MIA...Intel is Scramblin'.
