OT to John,

Part of the fault is also mine.

I think what happened is that I got a ream of posts from Shumway. On the New SI, I just set my message count to zero, and was able to continue without seeing the INBOX message waiting flag.

All was well until I reverted to the OLD SI, saw 4 new messages and couldn't get rid of them, so I read them without noting that they were a week old.

The rest is history.
