Myron, the relative advantage of using TA over FA .....<ggggg> No, I won't go there today. Just want to point out that what Claud describes, in the link that you provided, is a situation where MOMENTUM RULES....that's what we have now. Technicals become self-serving and a feeding frenzy overtakes good judgement. Thanks for the link to Claud's site. I appreciate his work very much.

Speaking of technicals, take a good look at the NAZ chart. You'll see a gap that needs to be filled at the 2900 level. A retracement right now would be about a 10% correction and would be very healthy.

Thanks Myron for the link, after seeing some the largest gains in history on a non-FA basis , eg AOL P/E 232, CSCO 147, BVSN 635,YHOO 875 ! I am 99% a T/A fan. Also it takes minutes to glance at a favourite set of graphs but hours to do DD thorough F/A on a stock.

Myron, I know of at least one Canadian stock that pays a regular 5% dividend so basically the stock is for free , they pay you 5% , you pay the bank 5% . A competitor has $5 loss per share/year and was bought out for big$$, so I am with you on this one while the internet craze is on.
