International consulting firm McKinsey & Co is setting up India Venture 2000, an information technology incubator initiative which will zero in on entrepreneurs with start-up ideas and hold their hands all the way to the market. An advisory panel comprising management consultant & UMich Prof. CK Prahalad (http://www.bus.umich.edu/academic/faculty/ckp.html), McKinsey managing director Rajat Gupta columbia.edu, ICICI managing director and CEO KV Kamath (http://www.icici.com/aboutus/ceodesk/index.htm), Infosys Technologies chairman NR Narayana Murthy (http://www.inf.com/infosys.htm) and venture capital firm Warburg Pincus' India representative Dilip Pathak will provide direction and expertise to the new start-ups.
