This seems to make it easier to sell Excite, but the professed rational is that it holds them tighter than ever.

Of course they decide to announce this on a Sunday night with most of the world asleep.

If the content portion was keeping this stock down, this could do much to alleviate the pain. My guess is a big open Monday AM. I do find it significant that they are relinquishing control over the media portion. Sounds like a precursor to another announcement.
