Welcome to John's Widespread Panic page

One of the best touring jam bands around is Widespread Panic from Athens, Georgia. These guys lay down a variety of music styles with an underpinning of southern rock. Their use of blues, jazz, folk, and funk with a heavy dose of improvisation make this an exciting band.

Band members consist of JB (John Bell) on lead vocals and guitars, Mike Houser on lead guitar and vocals, JoJo (John Herman) on keys and vocals, Dave Schools throwing down bombs on bass, Todd Nance providing the drum beat, and Sonny (Domingo Ortiz) pounding out percussion.

Probably the best starting place for gearing up on Panic is their live CD, released in April, 1998, called "Light Fuse Get Away".
