Patrick,
Hi!!!

RE: Kemble, how is Dell's relationship with IBM coming along?

IBM must survive...They will come along...Michael Murphy's comments about IBM possibly buying a 30% stake in DELL makes sense...This way they'd still profit in the hardware business as DELL conquers the world so fast we won't be able to blink before they're 50% of the world wide market...
IBM needs a replacement for Gerstner...he ain't exactly a youngster you know...Who else do you go after if you're a trustee at IBM? After all, isn't the greatest visionary in the technology world currently the youngest CEO who also happens to have the most experience?
Who would you go after Patrick?
And, after all, Michael needs the personnel in the services....If you read Managing HyperGrowth this becomes very evident...
IBM/DELL...It's a no brainer

Best, Kemble
