i can try, nick. the grub etiquette that is most important is that grubs on stock threads are supposed to be "on topic". in the coffee shop, they don't care. it is considered good form to not post a series of posts just to get the grub like posting 398,399, and 400 to get the 400 grub. as far as types, there are almost as many types as people can come up with. most grubs involve the post number on that thread. however the post number in the url, now over 12,000,000 is sometimes the target. also even the time. check out this 1111 grub at 11:11 Message 5347746 so the basic grubs are: 1. specific numbers like 42 (life the universe and everything) 69 (well i hope you can figure that out <g>). people even do like the 747 grub on an airline thread etc. some people even prize post #1 grubs. 222 = karen valentine grub for room 222 tv show. 2. 00, 000, 0000, 00000 grubs. the hundred grubs are really only super prized until a thread gets to 1000. but people still follow them. when a thread goes over 10,000...100 grubs are basically nothing. like 10600 is not really a grub. 3. all same number grubs like 1111 4. pinwheel grubs like 609 which is the same upside down as right-side up 5. straight grubs like 12345 or 54321 6. palindrome grubs like 55455 7. evil 666, 6666, 66666 grubs while covered above get extra points for "evil" 8. whatever the poster makes up and wants to brag about. for example some people think a full house is a good thing 9. combinations of the above...like 46664 could be said to be a palindrome grub with evil in the middle and a full house to boot. bragging takes place here: Subject 22251 as in Message 12034857
