Nortel and Cisco will vie for the spoils.

I disagree. No reason for either one of these companies to spend billions on NN.

ALA, TLABS, ERICY(despite their announcement today) remain the top 3 contenders, IMO.

Also like the JNPR, SCMR start-up angles as a dark horse.

thebeach/anyone :Hopes of ALA,ERICY and SIEMENS have fallen by the way side.The new selection now seems formulated out of desperation.

It does seem that NN is bidding time. I think we need to consider what this entails and what is its purpose. Surely they cannot hope to play this game for the next 6 mths whilst their 50g Switch is trial proved.

I find todays news disturbing but in line with my doubts about NN's intentions.
