A8,

Thanks for the link, plenty of articles out there today all saying basically the same things. My understanding of the tracking stock is this:

ATHM value = x
Excite Media = Y

Excite@home = X+Y, or Z

With the official announcement of details regarding the tracking stock, a value will be placed on X and Y, with the number of shares received in Y being equal to Z. An example, say Z is trading at 100 and a shareholder owns 1000 shares. The value of Y is placed at 40, then on issuance day, X is valued at 60, Y at 40, and from that point on, X and Y trade independently. Now, of course, the 100 number is purely arbitrary, who knows what ATHM will do in the mean time. Not sure that I stated that correctly.

Are these correct assumptions?
Anyone?
