...it doesn't mater, does it? IMO, It doesn't matter. High-tech now dominates the market and business climate. Only a fraction of the companies fully benefit from the new and rapidly changing culture. A significant fraction (dead wood) are left behind to become statistics on the new lows and declines counts. The companies that take advantage of the new technology are richly rewarded and soon dominate the indexes, while the ones that couldn't make the transition move towards bankruptcy. It could be many years from now before we get consistent advancing market breadth again.
