I don't belive that CDMA efficiency is going to be as important a factor in ASIC design going forward. Price, power efficiency and ease of use of protocol software will predominate.

Sounds like Q's probably going to lose a lot of market share to me. How can they compete on price with INTC? And you've already stated categorically that their protocol stack needs re-engineering..

Anybody here understand how BRCM (Broadcom)for example, or PMCSierra, keep competition at bay?

Gregg would say that Q has a built in advantage because of royalties but that advantage didn't save the phone division did it? And I wonder how much ASIC attrition is factored into the stock price? I KNOW there's HDR, and that nobody else has got THAT duhhhh ,I'm just not as convinced as the market seems to be that Q's gonna make zillions on it.
