Goutama Re <<I wonder how aggressive this company is in signing up new subscribers. How many of these new subscribers will be needing to buy new computers>>

San Diego was the first US city to get Road Runner. I have had their service for nearly 3 years. For $45/month it was (still is) a great value. Much better than DSL has become 3 years later!

Road Runner is EXTREMELY active in marketing. Adds are everywhere and a substantial part of users in San Diego are now using Road Runner. As of now, I have never heard of them advertising any processor as a recommended one. For the service all you need is a Pentium class computer. And since I do not think people that subscribe are first time buyers, I do not think this agreement is that important. Also I would think that Road Runner users are more savvy users (less likely to listen to a recommendation by a cable ISP) than the rest so again I do not see this agreement as important.

Goutama,

<I had no idea how significant this was because I was not unaware of Roadrunner online service connection to Time warner until I received this by PM (thanks to Az): >

I really have no idea of the strategic significance of this deal. My comment was strictly related to the lack of momentum on the stock. As you know almost any press release from any internet-related company seems to raise the stock by 5 or 10 points - especially if it has to do with something like RoadRunner mentioned in the PR 8-)
