Pat, what you said may be true, sometimes: I don't think
this time though. When something is hot ' it's hot. Look how
long it took PFE to ante up AHP offfer for WLA.
If enough people want NN fast enough, they will shoot first
and ask questions later.
Thanks for the Valium offer: I prefer however to enjoy every
painful moment of this ride, so I will stay with the Maalox, GG

Pat, you're brutal today. But even with my room temperature IQ <ggg>, I agree there will be ample opportunity to buy lower within the next few weeks. The stock's true value here, minus all the takeover hoopla, is maybe a buck or two above the pre-announce level, given the prospects for this quarter, imo, loop pretty bleak.

RE: ... believe NN will be sold. I just don't think it's going to happen over night. The current strength can be attributed to Canadian analysts and journalists fanning take-out flames.

Pat,

Take a look at the NN Volume on the NYSE, then the volume for NNC on the TSE (about 1/3 today). I suspect most Canadians would buy Newbridge in Canadian $ on the TSE rather than taking a 75-100 bp hit to convert their money to US$ then buy NN.

Thus I suspect that there's a few US analsyts, journalists, etc fanning those flames.

FWIW,
Ian.
