Today's announcement is the second agreement BLLs has with Sallie Mae. The original agreement was announced on July 27th.

billserv.com

Sallie Mae Enters Three Year Agreement with billserv.com for Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Agreement to provide Sallie Mae's 2.6 million customers to review and pay their student loans online

They (SM) obviously appreciate and support the work BLLS is currently doing on their behalf and are comfortable enough to enter into a partnership on this new project.

I would expect this latest news for BLLS is worthy enough to be featured in next weeks Killen Report and will bring extra exposure for Billserv. I've also attached a portion of today's Killen report about demographics of billing.

North American Biller Demographics
----------------------------------
By 2005, over two-thirds of all repetitive bills in North America will be presented on the Web. By then, fortunes will have been won or lost, depending upon which billers embrace EBPP and which do not. This information is based on research conducted for our recently published study, Biller Demographics in North America.

Regarding your question on the Sallie Mae agreement This was posted by chipmonk on the Raging Bull thread and I couldn't have said it better myself.

****************
There's not really any inside to get. I've posted all but one insignificant piece of info. The problem is, everyone sees Sallie Mae and goes to sleep thinking "we've been here before". This is a NEW deal. The first was getting the Sallie Mae contract to ebill student loan payments. No small feat there either. Now let me make this perfectly clear to all who read this post (excuse the shouting but folks need to hear this)...

BILLSERV.COM AND SALLIE MAE HAVE PARTNERED TO PROVIDE A WAY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS TO PAY COLLEGE EXPENSES ONLINE!!!

Forget the student loan stuff for a minute.

First, Sallie Mae has pre-built relationships with nearly EVERY college in the USA. There must be hundereds or even thousands of Colleges, maybe tens of thousands.

Second, Each college has on average several hundred to tens of thousands of students.

Third, name a Net illiterate college student...

Fourth, name a college that doesn't want to make it as easy as possible for a student to pay tuition, etc.

DO THE MATH PEOPLE. WE'RE PROBABLY THE ONLY FOLKS IN THIS GAME AT THIS POINT AND MAY HAVE LOCKED IT UP!!!!!
