I especially like this passage:

On the other hand, Lithium Ion batteries are significantly more expensive and harder to find. If they are overcharged, Lithium Ion
batteries can spontaneously combust and spew toxic chemicals. Therefore, the batteries have to contain internal devices that prevent this from happening, which drives up the cost of these batteries. Aside from the extra cost, Lithium Ion batteries are the preferred wireless device battery.

Lithium Ion batteries are half the size of Nickel Cadmium batteries and one third the size of Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. Despite being half the size of Nickel Cadmium batteries, Lithium Ion batteries produce about the same amount of energy. Moreover, Lithium Ion batteries retain charges longer than the other recommended wireless batteries.

Although the major battery companies research Lithium Ion battery
technology, the younger developmental stage companies stand to benefit the most from Lithium Ion's potential in wireless devices. Those developmental stage companies don't have near the financial or operating resources of the larger companies, but they will likely be pure plays on the preferred energy source for the explosive wireless
industry.

I wonder which companies and stocks will be mentioned in the other articles in the series?

Paul
