I wonder how they will determine investor "suitability" for on line trading.
Will we have to be seen by a psychiatrist and get a note? Pass an investment IQ test?

Clamp down on advertisers??! Are you suggesting more government control/regulation? That's the last thing we need. The whole reason MSFT is in this mess is because of bloody government time-wasting. Let the free capitalistic market rule. If advertisers want to put a particular spin on what "could" happen to you then let them. When it doesn't, you'll end up with a bunch of bankrupt day-traders and... as usual, the market will realize that there's no easy-street to riches and day-trading will fade or at least move up to only the true hotshots who can sometimes make it work. Stop making excuses for ding-bat humans. Let the humans make mistakes. That way, smart people like you and me can get ahead in life because we're smart enough to not make those blunders and most importantly, we don't listen to the hype (day-trading commercials). We need less government. The market (and I don't mean only Wallstreet) will exact whatever punishment is needed for MSFT. Basically, this whole MSFT (the Judge Jackson Show) has been a multi-million-dollar waste of time that proved the obvious and accomplished nothing (I'm getting deja vu... Starr/Lewinsky). MSFT was a true hard-core monopoly just as Clinton did have sex with an intern (or... maybe it depends on what your definition of "was" was... or is...). However, it is painfully obvious to most of us that MSFT's monopoly will eventually become moot. MSFT was the king of the mountain (hell, they were king of every mountain) but over the next 5 years MSFT will find that there is no longer a mountain at all and instead of perfecting mountain-climbing gear we're fighting to build ports to an ocean called the Internet.
