No offense taken to your question about where I was this fall when ATHM was in the dumps. (I was, for the most part, locked up in oil exploration stocks and options... Not a bad place to be, as it turned out with a couple of short term doubles, a triple, and in one case a 5 day, 50% return on some options that came in. Was lucky...)

As it goes, I begain tracking broadband developments a couple of years ago. What has continuously amazed me is how slowly the MSOs are moving. Requirements for infrastructure investment aside, I suppose it's also because the only people moving slower than they are the Telcos and ADSL. And, to answer your question, it's one of the fundamental reasons why I didn't invest in ATHM a while ago.
