Mephisto,

Rude people will be rude people no matter the arena.

I was at a nice restaurant one night having dinner with my family.

The next table over was vacant, but was obviously set for a large party. (large meaning about 18 people) As the guests began arriving, a couple walked in and sat down at the table. As soon as they had been seated, each of them pulled out a cell phone and began chatting away.

Now that was rude.

You say:

The cell phone problem hasn't come up here.

This incident happened over five years ago. I do believe the people were just trying to show off.

I believe anyone that talks on a cell phone any louder than they would if carrying on a conversation with a friend is arrogant, an idiot, or both.

Oh, and rude.

Have fun,
Phil
