Any scenario which catches most of the investing public leaning the wrong way and picks em off first base probably has a decent chance.

I cite the numerous "I'm in cash until Y2K or the Dow hits 9000" posts on numerous message boards on October 18.

I like your theory...however, I don't think we drop till the end of January...maybe a little pull back next week

I keep reading this paragraph and looking at last year's charts...correlation is amazing...(not necessarily the magnitude of change, but the directional correlation)

Matt, I don't know about "thoughts" but I have a reaction. If I recall correctly, you use statistical analysis to judge whether a given move will continue. Does this mean you are trying another approach (theorizing) or is this an adjunct to your other mode of analysis. I thought the stats were wuite interesting and they gave me caution from time-to-time.
