<<GSM US now has a national USA footprint. License issues resolving. Paradigm Shift!>>

Eric,

I would be interested in looking into the nationwide GSM contracts to see if they rival Sprint's. Could you point me to the GSM affiliate here in St. Louis?

<<<In regard to the rest of your post I simply say that the Europeans are APALLED at what we pay in the US for mobile wireless telephony.>>>

Eric, In Europe the have "caller pays" where we pay for sending and recieving calls. I understand that has changed now. Correct?
I'll start caring what the Europeans say when they save our butts from the Nazis.

EricL -

I have a GSM phone here in the US which is my European number. Motorola tri-band. Works OK here in Houston. Incidentally the carrrier here appears as Areil. Whoe are these people? BTW I only use it to get the call and find out who it is then I end the GSM call asap and call them back with my Thin Phone.

But I can't take my Thin Phone to Europe becuase CDMA isn't allowed there desptite the fact that GSM system there is total crap. Now why has GSM been allowed in the US but CDMA has been very effectively banned in Europe?

Best regards,

L
