Joan,

I agree, PSU should be the best in the Big 10 this year. I think the conference is, on the whole, much improved this year, with more balance. But there doesn't seem to be a dominating team that can win it all, like MSU on the men's side.

Watch out for Illinois (I get to see a lot of their games on TV, since I live in the state). They have Tamika Catchings' little sister (she can play) and an up-and-coming young head coach. True, they lost to UC Santa Barbara, but they beat Notre Dame, who supposedly has something this year. We'll see how they do tomorrow nite against UConn.

With the graduation of Stephanie White-McCarty and Ukari Figgs, and the loss of Tiffany Young over the summer, this is a rebuilding year for the Boilers. Like PSU, they're 4-0 now but haven't played anybody. They play "somebody" Thursday night - Tennessee, at their place. I have to find out if it's on TV here.
