Without question, perhaps the most distinctive consistent aspect of the Y2K "debate" is the polarization of the opinions.

There are non-techies who are convinced life will screech to a halt. There are techies who are puzzled at what all the fuss is about.

I guess it all depends on where one peers into this black hole.

He has had a computer software/program business for as long as I know him.

What kind of software? Custom? Packages? PC/mainframe/mini? "Software" covers a lot of ground.

I could not agree more.... that is why I prepared calmly and am very casually waiting to see what happens... but IF real trouble comes I will have no need to panic.
