Hi Puna and all my other Techrider friends....

Yep, that ole' jet lag that I said wouldn't bother me, evidently is...have been up for the last couple of hours..but no worries...I slept a lot yesterday...

Several things are coming to my mind, but for now, will just do an overview....BLUE, ....remember you said (above)....
"Same rules as always, talk about anything, have fun and make lots of money."
I think from "hearing" Techriders thoughts in the last several days, that that is what we were doing....talking about things that matter to us....as we all feel we are among friends...
Re: Medicine, giving and receiving...Re: Teachers, giving and receiving....Re: Politics, giving and receiving....ETC..

Puna, you are so right~ different stories, different viewpoints... I've personally had to be in the hospital over the years MANY times, and could tell you of mostly good experiences, and a few not so good ones.... I have family members who are both Doctors and Nursing in today's medicine, and who share both sides of that...Also have teachers with some interesting, and scary, tales to tell...

Speaking of medical things, Joanie, how is your Auntie, and Puna and Roger, how is your father?

Re: Veterans....I personally can't say enough about how very much I am grateful to them all...in fact, belong to an organization that, among other things, concentrates on trying to make the lives of hospitalized Vets a bit brighter by decorating at Christmas, knitting lap robes, having little gifts for them (the hospital will tell you what they need, if any of you are interested in helping), etc.. It seems so very little to do, after they have given all of us so very much. We also try to let our politicians know of our thoughts about the care they receive, and their surroundings...although to be honest there, there needs to be a LOT of calls, emails, etc here....
Thanks for listening, and continued 909's to ALL!
KLP
PS~ I'm laughing right now, and hope at least some of you are reading this...and that I'm not on your "ignore" button... Haven't figured out why we have that...if you don't want to 'listen' to someone...just don't....even kids know that (why else do parents have to say things 20kazillion times before they 'hear' you....)
PPS~Since I guess we are supposed to have something to do with a stock here....Wish I had QCOM and ICGE!!, but glad I have GNET, MCOM, NXTL, STMP, THCG, CHTR, and CTCH....and even TSCN is coming along...and CLKS will one of these days... Would like all of you to keep ICO on your watch lists....it is in bankruptcy, but Craig McCaw and a group of international investors has this month, has spent big money to pull it out...It has been my observation as I've watched McCaw Communications of Seattle grow, and grow large, then sell to AT&T....that Mr. McCaw doesn't invest his money foolishly.

WRONG, Techride is dying because Joe ATTACKED me because he has a chip on his shoulder about what his wife does for a living, what her job is really about and what she gets paid.
Joe took the conversation which was about free perks and turned it into something else. In doing so he miss-quoted me and was insulting.
I really could care about Joe's wife working at a VA. If her work at the VA is just so Joe can have ammo then I think I speak for most Veterans when I say, "thanks but no thanks". How insulting. In case nobody ever told Joe or his wife, guys that got shot up serving their country are "owed" their medical treatment. We owe nothing to no person on this earth for the treatment. We already paid.
I don't need to hear about the VA second hand from a guy who is keeping score. I worked as staff at a VA and unlike Joe's wife, I've got a DAV card in my wallet. I've lived it, seen it first hand, wasn't told about it and I unlike a score keeper have no regrets, was glad to do it.
And BTW Joe's wife, I've never saved a life in my thirty years of medicine, I just did my job. That's what MOST medical people say.
BLUE
PS Now that the FACTS are out I'm gone, it stinks here, still.
