crane - you asked..... "comment on this RRI.A release"

Off the top, I don't have a position & haven't looked any further than the news release. Also, comments are purely personal and make sure to verify anything (all the time......).

Intial tho't is that release doesn't really disclose much. If you are a shareholder -- trying to maintain watch -- more information is better than less. To a point........ some companies (imo) do overdo it with news releases however for financial qtrlys and annual reports FACTUAL info. is a good thing. Here's a great (imo) example of the type of detail that companies can provide to keep shaeholders informed..... (not trying to comment on specific co., purely offering an example of a thorough, fact-filled qtrly report.

Check out Petromet's (PNT-tse) report that came out in late October to see what I'm trying to indicate.
www2.cdn-news.com

Granted, small companies don't have the resources or manpower to do what the larger situations produce at qtrly. report time however at minimum (in my opinion) there needs to be an isolated split-out of qtrly information.

Sure, argument could be that it's more constructive to compare situations on a yr.-by-yr. basis rather than the qtr.-by-qtr. microscope. Still, qtr.-by-qtr. comparisons, especially to peer companies, does sometimes trigger followup questions that could/should be asked.........

In the example you posted there's no qtrly. spilt-out. Also, math is required to calculate the 9month production. I never was good at math and it's a pain in the forehead trying to count fingers and toes to come up with a MMcf or mcf number which can then be rolled into an apples-to-apples comparision (barrel of oil equivalent?). Whatever, spinning on a tangent.

Also re: example you posted, there's a conference call tomorrow. That's a good opportunity for shareholders to listen and in some cases participate (imo).

According to minimal information released it looks like the thing (on a 9 month avg.) was turning just under 56% of revenues into cashflow. On a boe basis (assuming 418 boepd) that appears to work out to about $12.87CF/boe You go do the math....... the fingers and toes are sore......

Oh yeah, one other opinion.(you asked). Whenever the word "ANNUALIZED" starts to appear and there still are 365 days ahead in order for the AnNuAlIzEd EgGs To hAtCh it's sometimes worthwhile to check a little closer regarding the assumptions. One thing that will always, remember always...... (unless hedged).... One certain thing about oil prices (and gas too) is that they will be uncertain. Please recognize that the second last sentence is an assumption.......... you decide if it applies here or anywhere else.

Happy hunting.
