Don - Tech stocks are getting hit hard today. Someone must have rung a bell and said "Take profits on tech stocks". <g>

I think the market is adjusting its expectations for mp3 sales during the upcoming holiday season. It was the promise of mp3 that took Sandisk up into the 80s and 90s last summer, it is the downsizing of mp3 expectations that is taking us down now. Where this will take us is anyone's guess. However, at some point we'll base, and we will go up again, because flash supply still doesn't meet the demand, ASPs and profits will be strong as new capacity is built, and mp3 sales aren't just disappearing, they are just being deferred for a bit. Since supply doesn't equal demand anyway, this is a good thing not a bad one, I think.

Still, it can give one vertigo when the price swoons like this. Old timers here got some good practice last summer/fall when the price dipped into single digits. This is nothing in comparison.
