Ashton's management should all be let go. We need a new group of management to revive this company. It is them who mislead shareholders to believe they were on something very positive. IMO, they were all laughing to the bank cashing in there options. The management team should be wondering why a stock like New Blue Ribbon, exploring for diamonds in Alberta is selling @ a dime cheaper than Ashton. My hat off to NBL for a well run marketing campaign. Ashton will need a hell of an exploration progress to spike their stock back up. Otherwise, the once known leader in diamond exploration in Alberta will end up being the loser of the pack. Ashton, get off your butts and start sharing progress plans with the shareholders.

In addition to myself and Art from Yorkton, my friend, John Kaiser likes Ashton at these prices.

Kaiser says buy Ashton and hope it sparkles in 2000

John Kaiser, writing in the November-December Bottom-Fishing Report (Dec.
28), says Alberta diamond diehard Ashton Mining of Canada is a buy once
again at 53 cents. Ashton now joins his list of 20 picks for 2000. Mr.
Kaiser and Ashton's relationship extends to before the Alberta play, which
kicked off when Ashton discovered kimberlite at Buffalo Hills in January,
1997. The baron of bottom fishing tipped it a buy in December, 1998, at
$1.10 and in October, 1999, at 50 cents; he also liked it when it was
mainly a Northwest Territories explorer in April, 1996, at $1.15, and in
December, 1996, at 96 cents, when it had set its sights on Alberta. Ashton
topped $8 in May, 1997, at the peak of the Alberta play. In the current
report, Mr. Kaiser calls Ashton a sleeper that must deliver the goods this
year in order to refinance a treasury that is down to $4-million. The risk
to bottom fishers is that its Australian parent will refinance it in the
pennies. Drilling is planned in early January on targets in a new area
called Caribou Mountain, as well as within the K-14 cluster. Drilling will
also take place this winter in the Northwest Territories.
