By far the most amusing witticisms on that thread were the ones about Jonestown and Kool-Aid. I was clutching my sides and rolling with laughter at those, let me tell you.

What an appallingly unpleasant crew! There was no need for the viciousness that followed nor was there a need to complain to SI Bob. Simply requesting that you not post *OT* would have been more than sufficient. I am disgusted and glad that I am not a part of that particular thread.

Hey- E,
It's nice to see you back.

I wouldn't try to understand them- it is probably a waste of your mental resources. Contemplating your navel would probably bring more enlightenment.

Of course I believe in making fun of everything- but that doesn't preclude DOING the right thing in action. One can make fun of hunger and still do everything one can to end it. If they were joking about hunger AND trying to end it- well, I could support that. But I can't support getting in the WAY and then joking about it.

For example, there is this super video out called "And God Said HA". It's tremendous. Some of the BEST cancer jokes I've ever heard are in that movie- and WHY are they funny? Because they are set against the backdrop of people who were really trying to overcome cancer. They weren't making little of cancer as it ravages the body- they were mocking cancer, they were cheating the ability of cancer to destroy the soul. Too much seriousness can destroy one's humanity- just as too much frivolity can.

And why did I go off on this tangent? I don't know.

Meanwhile, wishing you and the thread at large a happy Thanksgiving with much for which you can feel thankful.

Hi, E. It has at least brought one more clicker and maybe more. I hadn't bookmarked because that just isn't how I normally operate, but I thought it was cool and enjoyed you enthusiasm and good thoughts. But now I have, as of this morning, and have sent it off in e-mails.

I haven't read that thread and if I have any sense, I won't. I have too recently read "Duel" and tend towards such a nature naturally. I could get in trouble. And it has been whole couple of months since when asked (as I always am) by friends, "Whaaaaat have you done now" that I have been able to answer with an innocent, "Nuthin'. Why do you always think I've done something?"

You forgot that I was told to drink Koolaid as I left in an oh-so-witty reference to Jonestown.(Oh-edit-I see Cobe mentioned it)
However! Today the site was posted on two new threads. WHo wants to do tomorrow?
