you gotta love their 10kb speed limit on wireless modems

How would you like to to agree to pay me and a whole bunch of my colleagues 10c (even 5c) for every call that we make that gets cut off. Limited only to London in fact north of the Thames to a distance of say 12 miles from Traflagar Sq.

Orange do exactly what you suggest. Sign up with them and they will credit you with 1 minute of call cost if you get cut off and redial within 5 minutes (I think). This applies anywhere in the UK, not just around London. Check their website for full details.
