Now it's Microsoft's turn to add some excitement. Although I don't need the anxiety of watching this stock 'rotate on the spit' as the flames lick the edges, I realize that investing involves interpreting events and taking a course of action to best exploit those events. I've decided on my response. I'll continue to hold my entire Microsoft position. If things get really, really, ugly, I'll add to my position, perhaps using options

I started buying MSFT today after selling it recently in favour of better opportunities in the short term. Now MSFT is looking really good. I bought more than i had planned at around 89 today. I got a great deal!!!

Now i am going to wait a little longer to add more since i got more than i had planned today.

PMSW: I don't want to start this fight all over again but does your m incorrectly mean 10 to the 6th or correctly 10 to the 3rd. You better get back on the DELL dog as it is going to be 70 before you can think twice about it. They are going to take over the server world much to the dismay of SUNW. Yahoo!! JFD

Another bad day at black rock...the legal drumbeat continues as more states pile on. Add if you want, but I'm strolling calmly towards the exit. Even net of taxes there appear to be better places to be in this market, places that don't face the legal cloud and have just as much upside. I made more buying the CSCO breakout than I lost in taxes on my MSFT sale two weeks ago. Obviously I still hope for recovery, but it's just hope, not based on any strong belief.

Glance at the chart on Philip Morris to see what can happen to a stock facing down the class-action buccaneers (hint: the P/E's 10). I've never seen anything good happen to a stock when lawyers were involved.

Agreed on CSCO volatility, but that makes it a great trading stock, doesn't it? Re. DELL, yikes! You held a boxmaker at 60+ P/E, with $1M margin to boot? Indeed you have a cast-iron stomach.

I still think MSFT can't rally until the last chicken little (and I include myself) has sold. And I think a lot of mutual fund managers with big profits in this stock are going to be locking in whatever they can while the gettin's good.
