I'm picking up your challenge. I believe VONE will be much higher come Monday. Look at the way ADSP took off from $3 yesterday to 13.5 on news today. VONE is the last relatively cheap Linux play. The same newsletter that ran SOCT up 125% on Monday said they were planning to revisit the stock this coming week. Here is the last press release mentioning VONE and Linux. If you look at Yahoo please note that the company now has $8 million in cash:
V-ONE's Announces Linux-Based Instant Extranet Server -IXS- Product to Broaden Internet Business Opportunity
Enables Instant E-Business in Under 30 Minutes for $995 So Companies Can Build an Internet Presence Securely and Easily
GERMANTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 1999-- V-ONE® Corporation (Nasdaq: VONE - news), a market leader in client/server Virtual Private Networks (VPN), today announced general release of its new Instant Extranet Server(tm) product (IXS) which enables virtually any size organization to immediately benefit from secure business communication over the Internet.
IXS automatically installs Linux v6.0 from Red Hat® (Nasdaq: RHAT - news) seamlessly integrated with VPN security from V-ONE, providing software for public and private Web servers, a secure e-mail server and public and private FTP servers in one simple package. IXS features matchless ease of installation and use along with attractive pricing for a solution that should be especially attractive to organizations without the technical resources required to implement many conventional VPN solutions.
With IXS, companies of any size can use the Internet securely for essential business functions such as sharing information with partners and remote employees using private Web sites; publishing and maintaining public Web server content; exchanging large data files over private secure FTP sites; and permitting access via encrypted e-mail to employees on the company's LAN via encrypted e-mail without exposing the network to security risks.
While providing these essential capabilities, IXS is amazingly simple to implement and use. IXS is auto-installing, making it possible for virtually all organizations, regardless of their technical proficiency, to get up and running easily and quickly (set-up takes less than 30 minutes.) IXS also has fully automated client software configuration and distribution, avoiding the need for IT oversight while providing top-of-the-line security.
''V-ONE already has enjoyed considerable success with Fortune 1000 companies around the world thanks to SmartGate® VPN,'' said David D. Dawson, chairman and CEO of V-ONE Corporation. ''With IXS, V-ONE now has a range of solutions that effectively reach down to the small and medium-sized business market in addition to multi-billion dollar global entities such as Ericsson. The need to communicate mission-critical information securely is shared by all businesses regardless of size.''
''With IXS, we can now permit our employees to securely access our corporate network remotely through the Internet without worrying about the security of the data or the need to do a special set up with our firewall,'' said Ed Lee, vice president in charge of applications development for TYC Associates, an e-commerce application services company. ''IXS allows us to access files, e-mail and databases without any problem and the performance is great. We are also implementing an e-commerce solution using IXS to provide a secure transaction environment for our customers and the application.''
The unique capabilities of IXS enable the product to be efficiently distributed through a variety of channels, including Web hosting services. IXS provides these organizations the ability to offer outsourced VPN services in addition to integrating VPN security into existing applications and hosting them. V-ONE is launching a marketing campaign to target these new channel partners who can profit from IXS.
''We knew instinctively there would be a demand for this product, which has been re-affirmed in recent conversations we've had with many of our customers about IXS,'' said Mark Meszaros, president of Intes.net, a new V-ONE distributor specializing in Linux and open source solutions. ''They have all told us they want IXS as soon as it becomes available. The reason is clear -- there's compelling value in an auto-installing, easy-to-use solution that provides secure LAN access for less than $1,000.''
Regular IXS pricing is $1,495 for a 15-seat end user license and $3,995 for IXS Gold Edition, which features a 50-seat end user license. As a special introductory promotion, the standard 15-seat license is now available for $995. Information on IXS can be found a www.instantextranet.com.
