It was my son calling from home. Turns out he had spotted a ten pointer in our back yard and was wondering if it would be legal for him to go out and "take him." I'm on the phone, everyone waiting for me, and I, trying to act serious, am saying to my son "No. I don't think that would work well at all. Perhaps we might discuss an alternative plan later." The meat wants to peel off with the skin.< Actually it depends on how you do it. Once I get it started, I can pull the skin off in one motion, quick and clean as a whistle. But it is a lot of work for so little meat. >If it ever gets cold I may take my Kate dog down to the timber and let her harvest some rabbits and squirrels for the table. With her I don't need a gun.< Well some of us don't have the benefit of your Kate dog (grin). Unlike you we must suffer out there in the woods, struggling for our sustenance.
