Thread, Been the proud owner of TIVO stock since IPO and TIVO system past 2 weeks. Love it. Went with the 14 hour unit as I figured that given a year, I would be able to buy another unit cable of 30 hours for the same price as a 14 hr unit now. These units are basically large hard drives which are constantly falling in price with the advancement of technology. I find 14 hours of basic quality to be more than adequate, and basic is just fine for the news shows and sitcoms I record. Buying another unit as a nice Christmas present for Mom and Dad. Gary
