Dan: I know that Pirelli has beaten CIEN in a few head to head competitions. They might have won it on price without any consideration for future state of the art upgrades. Pirelli is a real company as was Ascend. They will be a better company under CSCO's wing. CSCO probably saw , in their collaborative efforts with CIEN, where the revs. and more importantly the future revs. lay. JFD
