Superficial opinions about politics don't contribute much. But for a longer term view, political interference with free markets via taxation, regulation, big-brother government can have a profound impact on any company. Do you think it is a coincidence that the technology revolution is much more an of American origin than anywhere else?( although, of course, non-American immigrants play a critical role in this revolution)
The U.S. stands apart from other countries historically as it has been less taxed, regulated and controlled than elsewhere. We have a unique combination of freedom with responsibility which is admired throughout the world by people who cherish freedom with responsibility.

To better understand the small picture of Qualcomm , it can help to understand the big picture. And the big picture involves politics, history, and yes, even religion.

To all I wish a wonderful Thanksgiving. In the last six months since I started investing in the Q, this forum has been a beacon of light. Everyone's efforts contributing information and ideas has been miraculous. Even the shorts.
The only problem is the temptation to spend too much time on this thread --gotta go-- I've got to go pull my two year old out of the toilet.

Poet. Hi. Several Canadians agree with you. Sometimes I am bad, especially on week ends and after hours. Never have really been politically correct. Just need a mother figure to apply some dicipline.

Seriously, the tension is running high among some of us with a lot at stake. It may supprise you that some of those (not me) that post this nonsense have minds like steel traps. Its just that they have been hovering over this situation for months on end looking for some flaw or additional opportunity.

As my mother used to say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull (and stressed) boy. Maybe we should go dancing.
Regards
