You may be right but given that they are taking 17 days to ship the 700s, the 24 sounds like their normal operation.

May be someone who has bought a Compaq can enlighten us. The numbers that Compaq quotes represent their ship-out or delivery at customer's place? And, is this worst case that they routinely beat or is that a fairly accurate number?

P.S.: If the delivery schedule is really screwed up, I wonder why they bother to launch it at this 11th hour (before Christmas, I mean)
