How about tecnico? .. as técnico it is spanish for both 'technical' and 'technician' [male, técnica if female] ... definitely not teclear though, that's a mexicano expression for screwing up in business [one of its meanings]

Clear anything spanish-sounding with an hispano ... Chevrolet's car the Nova? .. 'no va' means 'no go', 'he/she/it does not go' .. they tried to sell it in latinoamérica -g-
