**OT**OT**

Sosmartinov,

Doug R. called my questions 'unreasonable' and now you call them 'rude hounding'. If you want to defend him, that's fine, but no 'dirty deed' was done to him. With the claims he was making, he definitely needed to provide some answers to our very reasonable questions. They weren't that difficult, after all. The one question he did attempt to answer, concerning the choice of the high point on his "IL", turned out to be bunk when exposed to the light of day (recall the "overcooked" BS).

It's absurd for you to say that you "had no interest in this debate." In case you forgot, you became a part of it when you chimed in with post #34893. You told Doug R: "don't pay any attn to him. First he doesn't know what you're doing, then he tells you what you're doing." Then you followed up by repeating his cheap shot that I was 'whining'. You have some nerve talking about immaturity and rude behavior.

Rainmaker has every right to speak his peace. Are you now telling the thread "Don't pay any attn to him...?"

If Doug R wants to tout his TA system on this board, he'll just have to accept being treated as an equal, not a guru.

Doug R gave us predictions we took take or leave, he was hounded rudely and he refused to put up with it and spread the word that this thread was not so mature after all. We've done the dirty deed to the guy now live with it and quit trying to rationalize what was basically just rudeness.

Have to jump in to say I disagree with your take on the discussion. I was really impressed with Doug R's call on PAIR, and found his IL/ACT concepts intriguing (I've been selling quite a few stocks after a nice 100-200% gain only to watch them double again even though the fundamentals didn't seem too different). AS a result, I thought his seminar might be a pretty decent investment.

However, what you saw as hounding, I found to be legitimate questions about the assumptions Doug R was making in drawing his conclusions. The questions weren't rudely asked, and I suspect if he had answered them patiently, his credibility would have been better served.

Regarding PAIR, I think a big problem is whether to believe their predictions. Last year they projected 20mm in Avidia sales in '99. That was reduced to 15mm after the June quarter and now it's, what, 5mm or less? Will the January quarter bring the announcement that they're actually using their cash to pay customers to install Avidia?

Sosmartinov & John Carney -- I beg to differ!

"dirty deed" indeed! "hounded rudely" my ass!

If you want to buy into a 99% infallible investment system sans scrutiny or questions that is your right. But some on this board had the temerity to ask some basic questions -- in the hopes of getting some straight forward answers.

When did "Due Diligence" ( to say nothing or repartee and constructive dialogue) become, in your words, a "a dirty deed?"

I'd also like to know what great pearls of wisdom the two of you are fawning over? Taken in the aggregate, Dour R's input was: Pair is strong and may move up and down to different levels. I can't find a single instance of a specific quoted support or resistance level that wasn't accompanied by a paragraph of technical gibberish and weasel words.

The questions put to him were reasonable. There might have been skepticism but certainly no rudeness. Doug even offered to provide the charting to facilitate a constructive dialogue.

So our unanointed oracle departs in the night -- leaving a cow paddy in the PAIR thread punch bowl, but on another thread. That says a lot about his character.

TRUE STORY: In India, so called medicine men travel among the small outlying villages curing blindness. People with cataracts go to them for help. They use a sharp thorn to puncture the cataract and the "patient" suddenly can see clearly again -- for a few days. Then the eye becomes infected and they lose all sight for good. But by then the medicine man has moved on the next village.

I'M DONE. Let's get back to where we were before Elmer Gantry visited.

PS I gripe is with your position on this subject -- not with you.

Regards & Good Luck!
