<This is additional evidence of the need for fundraising by the schools. > I never realized there was a lack of evidence of school funding requirements,hell, I live in VT,here we have "Green up" days,where the sides of the roads are cleaned up by citizens and the proceeds from returnable cans and bottles etc.-goes to the local schools..Not to mention world famous fund raisers such as donkeyball(basketball played while riding donkeys-it's a riot<lol>),and the cow plop (you bet on a square from a grid painted on the soccer field,let the cow loose and the winner is,the square owner of where he plops<g>)
proceeds go to the kids...;^)DD

PS: not to mention town projects, similar to a barn raising.This year, a huge playground/swingset and all the fancy fixins was constructed at the elementary school,donated materials and all the free labor one could need. The year before it was a greenhouse..seems to work great..DD(and I didn't have to buy a card to volunteer)
